Italy has awesome food, so this week’s mid-week post is going to be mostly a collection of pictures of the things I’ve tried here. First, Pizza. From Naples to Rome, it’s an Italian classic, and it’s always great!
Half Bianca and half Margherita
Pizza Capricciosa – different but really good
Spaghetti: Simple, but with endless variations from thick Umbrian noodles to more American thin noodles but with clams and mussels (that I didn’t get a picture of).
First night’s dinner – simple and classic
Spaghetti with pineapple? REALLY good
Also the cute restaurant in Rome where I got pineapple spaghetti
Ravioli has always been one of my favorites, but in Italy, it’s basically the best thing in the world.
Rucola salad on top of the mozzarella
Ravioli with Scampi sauce
Ravioli from Florence
Assorted other pastas – I didn’t know there were this many
Vatican food court lunch!
Lasagna in Rome
Trolfie al pesto con pattate
Other foods – sandwiches and french fries and smoothies, they’re all better on vacation.
Fries with mayo is a thing
Fries with mayo = addictive thing
The Monterosso: prosciutto, mozzarella, and olive paste
Smoothies in 5terre
Chocolate cake thing from Naples
Brownie and ice cream
Flower gelato in Florence
So yeah, the food’s pretty good. Until next time ~
